Update from MIPD:
Dolores Pogorzelski, age 84, residing in the Kendall Drive area of Marco Island succumbed to her injuries which were sustained in yesterdays vehicle v. pedestrian crash. The driver of the 2006 Jeep involved in the crash is Richard Delaney of Naples.   It has been determined that alcohol was not a contributing factor in this crash.
On Thursday July 22, 2010 at 105pm a Pogorzelski, aged 84, was walking in the vicinity of Richards Ct. and Kendall Dr.  She was hit by a vehicle driven by 78 year old Delaney.  Pogorzelski was airlifted to the hospital. MIPD Traffic Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation.
